My Story
I grew up in Maine, the easternmost state in the U.S., known for its beautiful coastline and of course delicious lobster. I graduated from UMPI and married my husband, supporting him during his military service. We have four grown children and ten grandchildren (and counting!). During our travels around the world with the military, I discovered my love for languages and realized I had a knack for picking them up quickly. This passion led me to teach Latin, the root of the Romance languages, which includes Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Romanian. I am grateful for the experiences that have allowed me to share with my students a love for the world.
