My Story
When I was in middle school and high school, I went to a Christian school similar to SACS. When we moved to San Antonio, we chose SACS so that our kids would have a similar experience. I love working at the school that my kids attend. Before becoming a secondary math teacher, I taught math and statistics at the college level. I have also had the privilege of teaching at a rural school in Belize as well as using my gift with numbers to benefit the ministries of Cru in Boston, MA.
What church do you attend?
Stone Oak Bible Church in San Antonio
What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?
I appreciate the faith focus at SACS. I love being able to pray with my students and to show how we can recognize attributes of God as we learn the order and processes of the mathematics discipline.
Favorite Bible verse
Philippians 4:8 – “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”
What are your hobbies and interests?
I like reading fiction and walking with my family and our dog. I also enjoy exploring the outdoors in state and national parks.
