My Story
I grew up in Comfort, Texas. After high school, I attended two small Torchbearers Bible schools. After that, I went to a Bible college in Columbia South Carolina. I graduated in 2014. I met my wife while counseling at His Hill Ranch Camp in Comfort in 2013. After dating long-distance for three years (she is Canadian), we married in August 2016. At that time, I was working as a part-time youth pastor and part-time machinist in Lafayette, Louisiana. We spent two more years in Louisiana before moving back to San Antonio to work at SACS. We have three little boys who are incredibly busy and love all things outdoors.
What church do you attend?
Boerne Bible Church in Boerne
What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?
I never expected to become a teacher. I didn’t think it was a job I would enjoy. But I am so glad that the Lord has a better plan for our lives than we do. I love being a teacher for many reasons but the main one is because I know this is exactly where the Lord has me. There is no better place to be than in His will. I love encouraging kids to recognize their need for Christ every moment of every day.
Favorite Bible verse
Psalm 116:1-2 – “I love the Lord, because He hears my voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live.”
What are your hobbies and interests?
I enjoy all things outdoors, from playing sports to hunting. I love being in God’s creation with my family.
