My Story
I grew up right here in San Antonio as my dad was stationed at Randolph AFB and he retired 6 years after we moved here. After graduating from Roosevelt H.S., I attended Texas Tech University on a tennis scholarship. It was there at Texas Tech where I met my husband, Jeff. Jeff is a personal and marriage and family therapist. We were married in 1985. We have two children: Maegan, who is a teacher at East Central H.S. here in San Antonio, and Austin, a software engineer, who lives most of the year in Australia.
What church do you attend?
Community Bible Church in San Antonio
What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?
I love that I can openly express my love for Jesus Christ during the workday. I am also deeply committed to teaching the Old Testament to 6th graders here at SACS. The Old Testament has so much Godly, life-altering wisdom to share that I consider it an honor to be selected to teach that course.
Favorite Bible verse
Romans 8: 38-39 – “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
What are your hobbies and interests?
My hobbies include working out every morning before school. I also love to walk/hike/bike and play pickleball. I am an avid reader. My husband and I are involved in a marriage ministry called “Reengage” and “Merge”.
