My Story

I grew up in Maine, but I have strong family ties to both Texas and New England. While attending Texas Tech University, not only did I fall in love with my husband James, but I also fell in love with the Spanish language and culture. After graduating, we married, and a couple of years later we welcomed our first son, Jack, and 1 year later, we welcomed our twin sons, Garrett, and Jim. Soon after, we moved to New Hampshire, and this is where I received my MAT in Spanish from Rivier University while at the same time beginning to teach. While in New Hampshire, God blessed our family with our fourth son, Chris and now we have four sons, three amazing daughters-in-law, five grandchildren, and one more on the way!

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?

I get up every day and I love coming to work because this is not just a job for me, it is a way of life! Being a teacher at SACS not only allows me to partner with other families as a teacher of their children, but it also encourages me to actively pursue my walk with God and allows me to share this with my students. The staff, families and students at SACS are a treasure and I am honored to be part of their lives.

Favorite Bible verse

Proverbs 3: 5-8 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.”

What are your hobbies and interests?

I enjoy time with family and friends, drinking lots of coffee, traveling, art museums, foreign Netflix series, shopping for gifts, and new experiences and I would love to open my own business someday!!
