My Story
I married a wonderful godly woman, Janet, in 2004. Between us, we have four happily married children who have blessed us with nine grandchildren. At home we have two dogs, Taffy, and Nala. I retired from public school teaching in 2019, thinking I was ready to relax and stay home. God had a different plan. He led me to SACS and back to my passion for teaching and helping students understand God’s love for us.
What church do you attend?
Northeast Bible Church in Garden Ridge
What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?
Teaching at SACS is enjoyable, because it is a community where everyone shares the love of Christ. I love being able to point to Proverbs for wisdom, and praying with students. It’s nice to have the freedom to share math through the lens of a Christian, pointing to it as a sign of the order God has given the universe. It is an honor to be able to serve God at SACS.
Favorite Bible verse
2 Corinthians 12:9 – “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
What are your hobbies and interests?
I enjoy RVing & hiking with my wife, sometimes we even take grandkids with us. You can find us working out with Camp Gladiator three mornings a week. I enjoy riding roller coasters with my grandkids.
