My Story

I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I am blessed with two wonderful children, Jessica, and Michael. And I have extended blessings from my children, and five grandchildren, Josiah, Jena, Hanney, Leo, and Aurora—all LIONS. In 1992 I shopped for a solid private Christian school for my children in San Antonio, SACS was my last interview. At the end of the interview, Mr. Alan Axtell prayed with us and let us know SACS would walk alongside us as a school and family. We enrolled at SACS, I began to volunteer, then later employed as Registrar—the rest is history!

What church do you attend?

Cross Mountain Church in San Antonio

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?

I love to serve our students, their families, and my SACS family (employees—my brothers and sisters). I love how our teachers pray for their students. I love it when I hear my grandchildren’s voices, and laughter in the halls, at lunch, and on the playground. And I love the privilege of praying for our school.

Favorite Bible verse

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 – “Rejoice always and delight in your faith; be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.”

What are your hobbies and interests?

I enjoy spending time with my family, especially our weekly Sunday dinners. I serve at church with our Women’s Ministry. And I enjoy taking walks, especially with my miniature poodle, Baby Chica.
