My Story

I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. Music has always been a part of my life, as my family are all musicians. I grew up performing with my family in church, school, and the community. After college, I moved to San Antonio and started my career as a middle school and high school band director. I met my husband shortly after moving to San Antonio and we started a family. We have 3 kids, Bryce (23/Navy), Robert 16 (11th grade), and Eleanor 13 (7th grade) who all attend/ed SACS.

What church do you attend?

Concordia Lutheran Church in San Antonio

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?

I am honored that God chose me to equip our students with the sword of the Lord through music and praise. My job has allowed me to grow as a music teacher shifting gears from band to children’s choir, bucket drumming, handbells, and musicals. Getting up every morning knowing that I get to sing, dance, teach music, and praise God every day makes my heart happy!

Favorite Bible verse

Proverbs 3:5 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

What are your hobbies and interests?

I love traveling with my family, creating digital music education supplements, and singing karaoke.
