My Story

I grew up in the sunny state of Florida and even then, I always loved school. Yes, I was that kid. My love for education has always been a driving force in my life and I had the opportunity to teach 7th grade History for several years before transitioning into administration. I am happily married to Dr. Sheats who also serves here at SACS. We are blessed with two amazing children, Lillian and J. Stephen, both proud graduates of SACS. Together we have lived in Florida, Georgia, and Virginia before eventually finding our way to Texas. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve at SACS.

What church do you attend?

Shearer Hills Baptist Church in San Antonio

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?

I find it incredibly rewarding to help guide our MS students through such a transformative period in their academic journey. Plus, navigating the daily adventures of middle school life means there is never a dull moment – it is like herding cats, but with more homework, surprise dance moves, the occasional impromptu science experiment, and most importantly endless curiosity. I love Middle School.

Favorite Bible verse

Philippians 4:8 – “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”

What are your hobbies and interests?

When I am not busy deciphering new words MS students come up with, I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, going to the movies and spending time with my family.
