My Story

I grew up in East Texas before heading off to College Station where I met my husband, Allen. We married in 1984. As a military family, we moved about a lot. At last count, we’ve lived in seven states and four countries. When Allen retired, our family left Germany after almost six years to return home to Texas. We have six amazing children and two precious grandsons. Our youngest daughter is a member of the SACS Class of 2026.

What church do you attend?

Trinity Grace Church in San Antonio

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?

Teaching and interacting with young scholars make me happy. I find great joy in learning and sharing knowledge. I also love people. At SACS, these two easily intersect. This community is an amazing place to share life with likeminded individuals before heading out into the broader community to shine His light.

Favorite Bible verse

2 Peter 1:3 – “For His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.”

What are your hobbies and interests?

My hobbies include travel and hiking, visiting with family and friends over great coffee, singing, and reading great books. I also enjoy practicing my German!
