Worship By Students, For Students

Through student-led worship, we invest in students called to serve God with their musical talents while encouraging their peers to engage in authentic worship. Both our middle and high school Praise Bands are led by our Theatre Arts director.

Empowering students to lead in Praise Band reflects our desire for them to embody the qualities outlined in 1 Timothy 4:12: ‘Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself as an example of those who believe.’ We believe each student is uniquely gifted by God to serve His Kingdom and others, and we strive to create an environment where they can confidently use those gifts, regardless of their age.

Rock Band

In the fall semester, our secondary band becomes a high-energy Rock Band.

Our SACS Rock Band showcases the incredible talent of our secondary students, featuring electric guitarists, bassists, and drummers. During football season, they power their amplifiers with a small trailer and boat battery, delivering unforgettable classic rock performances during halftime. A true crowd favorite, the Rock Band embodies the energy and creativity of SACS!

Jazz Band

In the spring semester, our Rock Band transforms into a traditional Jazz Band.

The SACS Jazz Band shines in the spring, showcasing the versatility and skill of our student musicians. Under the direction of Jazz composer and performer David Eskridge, the band has earned eight first-place trophies at the St. Mary’s Jazz Festival. Each performance is a testament to their dedication and love for music.

Come see San Antonio Christian School for yourself.

The easiest way to understand our community and school culture is to take a look around campus and meet our students and staff in person.
