The Pre-Kinder through 1st-grade assessments will be scheduled individually with each family by our Admissions Office.
Pre-Kinder
Students will participate in an evaluation at the Admissions Office to determine developmental readiness.
Kinder – 1st
Students will take a developmental and academic assessment at the Admissions Office to determine grade-level readiness.
Grade-Level Assessments
All assessments will be personally scheduled by our Admissions Office.
2nd-4th
Students will take the on-campus ERB Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Assessments will be scheduled once the application is complete.
5th-12th
Students will register for the on-campus ERB Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). The code for San Antonio Christian School is 570931. Assessments will be scheduled once the application is complete.
If a high school student has already taken standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, or PSAT, we may be able to accept those scores for admission consideration, which would eliminate the need for the ISEE.
Transcript Reviews
9th-12th
Our High School Guidance Department conducts official transcript reviews, which include report cards and standardized test scores (PSAT, Aspire, ACT, or SAT). If this information is not available, an ERB ISEE assessment may be required.
3
Interview
Once all required documents, forms, fees, and test results are received, the Admissions Office will review your application and schedule an interview with either the Director of Admissions or the school principal.
If your family is not invited for an interview, you will be notified via email of our decision not to offer enrollment at San Antonio Christian School.
Pre-Kinder – 5th
Children are not required to attend the interview. This meeting focuses on discussing philosophical compatibility, answering questions, and reviewing assessment scores.
6th – 12th
Students are required to attend the interview. This meeting provides an opportunity to discuss philosophical compatibility, address questions, and review assessment scores.
9th – 12th
All high school applicants are required to provide a hair sample as part of our universal drug testing policy. The sample will be collected by the secondary school nurse during the interview.
4
Admission Decision
After the interview, the Director of Admissions will review the student’s complete application and notify the family via email with one of three decisions: Acceptance, Wait Pool, or Non-Acceptance.
Acceptance
Accepted students are deemed qualified to attend San Antonio Christian School and show promise of both benefiting from and contributing to the school community. Enrollment positions are offered with the expectation that families accept or decline by the date specified in the Enrollment Contract. A non-refundable enrollment fee is required at the time of acceptance.
Wait Pool
Students in the wait pool are admissible, but all enrollment positions are currently filled. Unlike a prioritized waiting list, wait pool applicants are reviewed by the Director of Enrollment and the Principal if an opening arises. Placement in the wait pool does not carry over to future years, nor does it influence future admission decisions.
Non-Acceptance
Students who are not offered enrollment at San Antonio Christian School will be notified of the decision by the Admissions Office.
5
Enrollment
After acceptance, parents will receive an enrollment agreement via email. The following documents are required to complete the online enrollment process:
- Copy of Student Birth Certificate
- Copy of Immunization Record
Enrollment is finalized when the financial contract is signed, and the non-refundable enrollment fee is submitted. From this point, the Billing Office will manage all financial questions and transactions related to tuition and fees.
At the time of enrollment, the appropriate school division will provide all necessary information for a successful transition to SACS. For high school students, the Guidance Office will schedule an appointment with parents and students to create a personalized four-year course plan.

Admission Requirements
SACS Partners with Christian Families
At San Antonio Christian School, we are committed to partnering with Christian families who seek to educate their children within the context of a biblical worldview.
As a Christ-centered school, we welcome families who are dedicated to Him and who hold God’s Word as central to the education process. Admission is offered exclusively to families and students who profess faith in Christ.
San Antonio Christian School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, national origin, or ethnicity.

Parental Faith & Church Involvement
At least one parent (including joint custodial parents, legal guardians, or step-parents) with whom the student resides must be a professing Christian and actively involved in a Bible-believing local church.
SACS is a conservative, evangelical Protestant Christian school unaffiliated with any specific church. We focus on one’s personal relationship with Christ, demonstrated by regular family church attendance and active involvement.
During the interview, applicants will be asked to share their faith in Christ and describe their walk with Him.
Student Faith & Church Involvement
New students applying for grades 9–12 must profess faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior and demonstrate regular involvement in a Bible-believing local church.
It is important that the family, church, and school share investment in each child’s salvation and maturity in Jesus Christ. It is critical that there is agreement with this philosophy prior to enrolling at SACS.
Partnership
We partner with Christian parents seeking an environment where home, church, and school align. At SACS, we expect families and students to live in accordance with God’s Word. Students must also demonstrate a clear desire to contribute to our Christian school and faith community.
References
Three references are required: Personal, Academic, and Pastoral. The Pastoral reference should come from someone at the family’s home church, such as a lead pastor, assistant pastor, youth pastor, elder, deacon, or Sunday school teacher who knows the parents and student personally.
All references are submitted through the online application. Parents only need to provide the reference names and email addresses.
Student Academics
SACS offers an academically rigorous, college-preparatory program. Applicants must demonstrate grade-level proficiency through standardized test scores and academic performance.
Seniors
Admission for new 12th-grade students is limited to those relocating from out of town and transferring from a Christian school. All senior admissions require approval from the SACS Board of Directors.
Age Requirements
By September 1 of each year, children must meet the following age requirements to apply to our early education program:
- Pre-Kinder: 4 years old by September 1
- Kindergarten: 5 years old by September 1
- First Grade: 6 years old by September 1
Pre-K and Kindergarten applicants must be able to independently care for their restroom needs. These requirements are non-negotiable.
