About SACS

We are a pre-k to 12th-grade non-denominational christian school with small classes, vibrant fine arts, diverse activities, and a passionate lions athletics community.

Our partnership with Christian families and their faith communities is at the heart of our mission.

At San Antonio Christian School, our partnership with Christian families and Christian educators is what sets us apart. Here, every employee is a Christ-follower, and every class is taught from a biblical worldview. Our biblically informed core values drive our unified culture.

Our partnership with Christian families and their faith communities is at the heart of our mission. This partnership prepares our students to attend the universities of their choice, motivated to live lives of faith and service to Christ.

Please take a moment to read this message from our Head of School, Dr. Rob Brown, and the Board of Directors, outlining our covenant model and illustrating how this distinguishes SACS from other school environments.

Mission & Values

Academic Excellence

With a strong and demanding college-preparatory curriculum, SACS is dedicated to preparing students at each developmental stage with the building blocks to achieve a productive and successful future.

The lessons learned at SACS extend far beyond any classroom or backpack; the programs at SACS equip students with the lifelong skills to think critically and discern truth.

As seniors kneel together in prayer at graduation and toss their caps at the conclusion of the ceremony, parents are secure in knowing their graduates are equipped to enter the university of their choosing, prepared for the next stage of their academic endeavors.

The SACS Story

San Antonio Christian School traces its history back to 1966 when Grace Bible College Preparatory School was established as a ministry of Grace Bible Church.

The vision was to provide a K-12 grade Christ-centered, college preparatory education for families in the church and beyond. The school experienced moderate growth and as the school’s population increased, high school grades were added. The additional expense of a high school began to place a heavy financial burden upon the church and in early 1972 the church’s leadership considered closing the high school.

Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, the church approached several key families about beginning a non-denominational high school. However, it quickly became evident to all, that the entire school would need to become an independent Christian school for the vision to survive. That spring, after much prayer and seeking God’s will, San Antonio Christian School (SACS) was born and opened its doors in August 1972.

People say the nicest things

Moake Family
“We recently recognized that teaching kindness and goodness in school, without connecting the dots back to our Lord and Savior, is not enough. We work to position God first in our lives, in the way we work, play and treat others; and by attending SACS, our son has had the ability to place GOD at the center of his education, where He belongs.”
Boynton Family
“As SACS Alumni, we were very excited to have our oldest daughter enroll in Kindergarten. We both have fond memories of the SACS traditions and the faculty that feel like family. SACS feels like home, and we are thrilled to share it with our girls.”
Parish Family
“We chose SACS because we believe in the eternal value of a solid Christian education. The SACS community has a special small-town feel, and whenever we are on campus it just feels like home. SACS truly is a family, and it continues to be a blessing to us as parents and to our 3 children.”
Bates Family
“We have a senior & sophomore at SACS. From the beginning we have loved the fellowship among the families, the lasting friendships our kids have made and the small town feel of the school. The staff is amazing & they really pour their hearts into our kids.”
Morgan Family
“SACS teachers just LOVE our kids and I honestly think they love us as parents also! They go above and beyond their role as teachers to act as counselors, leaders, caretakers, advocates, servants, and role models. They are providing an education while also nurturing souls and pointing kids to Christ in every way.”
