My Story
I had the privilege of marrying my best friend Sam in 2004. Sam is a SACS alum who started attending SACS in Kindergarten. He met his 2 lifelong best friends in kindergarten here. Many important memories in our lives have their roots in that class. Our three boys, William (born 2005), Philip (born 2007), and Luke (born 2013) have attended our beloved school, and, like their daddy, each have made lasting friendships here. As for me, some of the most precious moments of my life have happened in these hallways. I love Jesus, and I love literature. Sharing about both on this campus is among of my life’s greatest treasures.
What church do you attend?
Community Bible Church in San Antonio
What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?
I love my students. They say that, if you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life. I would not ever classify teaching as easy, but teaching in a place that honors God, promotes academic excellence, and seeks to grow the whole child is an assignment that, although difficult and arduous, offers tremendous meaning and fulfillment. Watching my students face challenges, learn, and grow is work worth doing.
Favorite Bible verse
Deuteronomy 31:8 – “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
What are your hobbies and interests?
Outside of school, I love spending time with family, playing games, giggling with friends, snuggling my baby dog, cleaning and organizing, making lists, fixing problems, reading great books, and making people laugh.
