My Story

I began teaching in 1997. I have taught middle school and high school Sciences and served as a campus administrator. My husband, Darren, is a retired principal and former coach. He will be proudly supporting the roaring Lions from the stands. We have two grown daughters Jennifer and Mallory. Jennifer and husband Ryan live in San Antonio. She is an Account Manager for First American Home Warranty and Ryan is an architect and partner with Lake Flato. Their children Ava and Crew are our “grand blessings”. Mallory has moved back to Texas and is a pharmacist at Methodist Hospital.

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?

I am extremely proud to have joined the family at SACS. I enjoy supporting the students in their academics as well as cheering them on while watching their art performances or battling through sporting events. Seeing and experiencing their walk of faith alongside them is a blessing. The leadership team is an encouragement to families, staff, and students as they guide us in serving the Lord and others.

Ephesians 3:16-19 – “Pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

What are your hobbies and interests?

I enjoy traveling, attending sporting events, working on service projects, and spending time with my family.
