Spiritual Growth
God first—not about us, all about Him
Partnering with families to provide students a Christ-centered education while fostering a life of faith and service.
This year’s theme, “God First—Not About Us, All About Him,” reflects our unwavering commitment to placing Christ at the center of everything we do at San Antonio Christian School. We aim to stand in awe of His splendor, align ourselves with His Word, and live in faithful obedience to His calling.
As our Spiritual Life Director, Pastor Matt O’Brien, reminds us, “The great commission calls mentors to disciple others to obey, not simply understand, the commands of Christ (Matthew 28:20). This divine curriculum necessitates that we train students in biblical truth and carve out opportunities for application.”
We understand that choosing a school is one of the most significant decisions for your family, especially regarding your child’s faith journey. That’s why we purposefully create an environment where students grow spiritually, discover their identity in Christ, and apply God’s wisdom to real-world scenarios. Through vibrant chapel services, biblically integrated lessons, weekly huddle groups, and service opportunities, your child can develop a strong foundation of faith. By God’s grace, they will be equipped to honor Him and make a kingdom impact on the world.
Gospel-Centric
“Our partnership with Christian families and their faith communities is at the heart of our mission.”
At SACS, weekly chapels for Elementary, Middle, and High School students provide an opportunity to worship together and grow in their faith. Each service is thoughtfully designed to meet the spiritual needs of each age group, with lessons and worship centered on the Gospel and the truth of Scripture.
Non-Denominational & Biblically Based
SACS families faithfully attend 146 different Christian churches across San Antonio and its suburbs. At SACS, we focus on Biblical truth and uphold the Gospel as the foundation of everything we do.
Weekly Chapels for Each School
Weekly chapels for Grades PK-12 are designed with each developmental stage in mind. Pre-K, K-2nd, 3rd-5th, Middle School, and High School chapels include age-appropriate lessons and worship, equipping students to grow in faith and share Biblical truth.
Biblically-Integrated Lessons
Chapels are just one way we teach the Gospel at SACS. Through Biblically-integrated lessons, the Gospel serves as the foundation of our school, shaping every aspect of Academics and Student Life.
Worship and Community in Secondary Chapels
A weekly opportunity to grow in faith and fellowship.
At SACS, Middle School and High School Chapel services are a cornerstone of our students’ spiritual journey. Held in the Student Life Center, these gatherings provide a meaningful time for worship, teaching, and connection.
Each week, our student-led Praise Band inspires their peers and teachers with heartfelt worship, setting the tone for a Christ-centered message. Guest pastors from local churches often share Biblical lessons, and students are encouraged to share their testimonies, fostering a sense of community and spiritual growth.
Chapel is more than an event—it’s a time to pause, reflect, and grow together as we seek to honor God in all we do.
