Kindergarten marks a significant milestone in your child’s educational journey.
At San Antonio Christian School, we approach this important transition with a commitment to holistic development, grounded in a biblical worldview. Here, we:
- Recognize and address your child’s academic, social, developmental, and spiritual needs
- Teach from a biblical perspective, integrating God’s word in all subjects
- Nurture each student’s curiosity while fostering a love for learning
- Provide developmentally appropriate, hands-on experiences that promote growth and understanding
We are dedicated to shaping well-rounded students who are equipped to grow in wisdom, faith, and knowledge.
Connecting the Dots
How Your Child Learns in Kindergarten
At SACS, we use a thematic, faith-based approach to teaching, helping students explore and understand God’s world. Our kindergarten science curriculum, rooted in the fifth day of creation, introduces oceanography and marine life through engaging, hands-on activities:
- Writing & Art: Letter-writing to a fish and ocean-themed creative projects
- Math & Science: Exploring numbers through marine life patterns and studying ocean layers
- Stewardship: Caring for classroom saltwater aquariums to connect faith with learning
In addition to these academic activities, your child will learn to be a good steward of creation by caring for saltwater aquariums in the classroom. These hands-on experiences allow your child to connect faith with learning and develop a deeper understanding of God’s world.
Collaborative Learning & Life Skills: Students build teamwork, patience, and practical skills through activities like monthly Cooking Labs—following recipes, measuring ingredients, and enjoying the reward of their work.
Spiritual Growth & Service: Beyond weekly chapel, students apply biblical truths through service, such as partnering with high schoolers to pack boxes for the school’s Thanksgiving food drive.
Preparing for the Future: With a curriculum blending faith, academics, and creativity, students build a strong foundation to thrive in elementary and beyond—growing in wisdom, knowledge, and love for God’s creation.

Meet the Teachers
Every member of the SACS team desires to care for our students both academically and spiritually.
“I would tell any parent considering SACS for their children to tour the school and get to know the awesome staff. If they do that and are looking for a Christ-centered education in a safe environment, it will be an easy decision to make!”
