Dear SACS Family,
Psalm 127 lays out some marching orders for parents. The Psalmist reminds us that “unless the Lord builds the house, we labor in vain.” As the architect of life, we know it is God’s design and desire for us to pattern our homes according to his blueprints. As each of us have probably discovered, parenting children (identified here as God’s “heritage” and likened to “arrows”) this side of heaven in a fallen world is no small challenge. No wonder God refers to parents as “warriors” as we do battle with forces that vie for the hearts and minds of our children. And the stakes just get bigger as they get older.
As a partnership school, we understand the great responsibility you are tasked with and it is our privilege to stand with you aspiring to effectively partner with you – the primary teachers and mentors of your children – as an extension of your home and church community. Commencement (high school graduation) will be here before we know it and the day that first arrow is drawn from the quiver and released into the world is right behind it. Our journey with you between now and then is the motivation behind the “Parent Lecture Series.” We pray God would use this series of talks over the years to help us all minister more effectively to His “heritage.”
For if we are honest, our biggest fear is of our arrows veering off course once they’ve left home for college. The next lecture in the series will be Thursday, April 9 th , from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, in the Lion Student Life Center, with Cheryl Simmons and Diane Van Zandt. These women have an incredible repertoire of experiential insight, professional training, and spiritual maturity. It will be a great evening of insight, equipping, and encouragement designed to help us parent in a way that glorifies God and enables our children to live into the picture He has in His mind’s eye for each to become.
Here are a few of the topics you will hear:
What all children need to become self-sufficient, Godly adults Contrasting different styles of parenting Skills for Authoritative Parenting – Balancing love and responsibility Understanding different personalities of children Helping your child discover God’s purpose for his or her life
Thank you for entrusting your children to us and we hope this evening is in some way an expression of our solidarity with you as together – home, church, and school – we raise up this godly heritage.

“United in spirit; intent on one purpose!” (Phillippians 2:2)
7:00 pm in the Student Life Center
The mission of San Antonio Christian Schools is to provide a high-quality, Christ-centered, college preparatory education to prepare students for works of service. It is our goal to produce graduates who are well educated, biblically sound, morally grounded, and servants at heart. Being academically prepared to go through all doors of opportunity with a firm biblical foundation, our vision is for each graduate to see the vocations and spheres of influence God opens to them as opportunities for their gifts, talents and passions to be used for God’s glory and purposes.
We are SA Christian!
This is an exciting time in the life of San Antonio Christian Schools! We have been in the San Antonio community for over 45 years and on the Redland Road campus for almost 15 years. United in Spirit, intent on one purpose, is our theme for this school year, which was taken from Philippians 2:2 NLT and it captures the heart and passion of our school community. We think this video will give you a taste of who we are.
Enjoy and welcome to SACS!
We encourage you to take some time and browse through our website which is designed to familiarize you with all aspects of our school. Please look through our admissions guidelines as you consider making application for your student at San Antonio Christian Schools. And please contact our Admissions Office if you are interested in scheduling an informational tour of the school. We are excited about the possibility of coming alongside and being an extension of another Christ-centered home.
“After observing a classroom in action, I knew I wanted this for my children. Over the years, SACS has been an extension of our home and our desire to have Christ at its core. They know students aren’t perfect, but they meet them where they are and equip them to succeed. SACS provided our children with what they needed for college and life beyond. And now our grandchildren attend! We love this school and being part of God’s ministry here!”
SACS is a school we cannot say enough about! We see our children learning and growing not only academically, but also in the Lord on a daily basis. My children love being able to carry the Bible with them and read and study the Word on a daily basis with a class of fellow believers. They are learning it is not about “religion”, it’s about their relationship and love for the Lord that’s important.

“We feel blessed that our three children are a part of SACS, where they have grown intellectually, emotionally and spiritually in a setting where God is honored; where they are provided with a strong foundation for building confidence and self-esteem; and where Godly character is developed through the examples of teachers and other students.”
